NaNoWriMo- But not really..The war had been coming for a long time. For years we had been developing new and better ways by which we could kill one another, and it was only a matter of time before the devastation shook the earth.
World Wars had been waged before, and history shows us that such a course of violent conflict is entirely inevitable as nations and men seek a rise towards advancements and power.

When it came, it struck suddenly and on a global scale, leaving a wake of utter devastation in the path that it followed.
Those who did not die in the initial strikes, soon found themselves in the sort of NaNoWriMo- But not really..

A Glimmer in the Darkness..The first vestiges of the new dawn broke across the horizon, spilling down in soft golden motes to warm the air for a new day.  The passage of time was marked through that golden orbs progress across a clear blue sky.

She could feel the heat of the sunlight as it rose across the sky, giving some small bit of warmth to the eternal chill that held her forever within an embrace.
The rising scent of baking rose in the air teasingly, and mother called to their children as they played in the area.  The day was held by the passage and progress of life, and there within the middle of it all, she had sett A Glimmer in the Darkness..

I don't really know how to tell you this, but Our Romance is over. I think I realized it when your dog ran amock in women's clothing and I saw you castrate my Kid Rock collection. I'm sure you're senile enough to understand that I did have a sex change. I'm returning your memories from military service to you, but I'll keep your left ear as a memory. You should also know that I will tell the authorities about the incarnation as an eskimo.
